Billy was born in Winnipeg at the Women’s Pavilion with his twin sister Betty who is nine minutes older. He lived in Winnipeg all his life. He always volunteered his time at the block where he lived (Lord Selkirk Park). He always helped at the nickel bingo, the food bank, and just helped anyone in need. He enjoyed playing bingo at the Friendship Centre win or lose. His grand babies brought him the most joy in life, and he had nicknames for all of them. He always made sure he had lots of treats for them. They were his world. He also enjoyed his sister Betty’s cooking, and there were always plenty of leftovers. They just lived down the hall from each other. Betty looked in on Billy and made sure he was cared for.
He was loved by everyone and will be deeply missed.
Wake service will be held on Sunday, April 16, 2023, from 3pm – 7pm. Service will begin at 5pm with Brother Tom Novak. Cremation to follow.
