Billy was born in Winnipeg, MB. His younger years started out with him growing up in the country then several areas in Winnipeg with the last place being Elmwood. After that, he moved in with his sister Bernice in Dauphin River where he continued to make a life for himself in that area and neighbouring communities. He spent his life working in the fish shed and commercial fishing.
He was the only child of William (Bill) Pierce and the youngest son of Florence Chartrand. He will be missed by his two brothers and two sisters; Bernice (Kris) Einarsson, Glenn (Kathy) Johnsen, Terry Johnsen, Sandra (Red) Ducharme. Stepmother; Doris Pierce, stepbrothers Norman Beardy, Darryl Beardy, Gerald Pierce. Nieces & nephews; Erik, Johnny, Sandra, Doug (Chantal), Jennifer, Delaney(Justin), Cheyenne (Will), Joseph along with many great nieces and nephews that he grew up with.
He was predeceased by his mother Florence Chartrand (2010), sister Mary-Lou Johnsen (2011), Father William “Bill” Pierce (2021), and great nephew Trey (2024).

Billy’s laugh, sense of humour and kindness will also be missed by many other family members and friends.
We are inviting everyone to come and share with us a Celebration of Life service will be at Eternal Grace.
