William Barry Moore

William “Billy” Barry Moore, 82, of South Indian Lake, passed away on November 23, 2022, surrounded by his children, Osisims and Great-(Great)-Osisims. 

Billy was born on January 7, 1940 to Samuel and Leta Moose in South Indian Lake. He spent his early years trapping in the North and then later spent his life working, socializing, having fun, helping anyone who was in need, and spending time with family. 

Billy was predeceased by his parents Samuel and Leta Moose;   siblings Eldon, Philip, Helen, Gladys, Barbara, George, Susan,  Lena, and Elizabeth; and his son Thomas Moore.

He is survived by his siblings Justina, Susan, Harold, Johnny, and Jane; his children Daniel Moore, Deborah (Kenneth) Asidao, Dianne (James) Zelinski, and Donna (Leslie) Slimmon; Osisim’s Bridgette (Rodel) Janz, Brittany (Ryan) Janz, Breigh-Anna (Cody) Tegg, Brooke (Connor) Tegg-Jowett, Noah Slimmon, and Meghan Slimmon; Great-Osisims Hayli (Rhett) Turner, Gavin Janz, Mackenzie (Bailey) Janz, Chayce Doell, Deklan Tegg-Knight, Cael Tegg, Kingston Janz, Zayden Tegg, Paisley Jowett, Landyn Tegg, McKauleigh Tegg, Emmett Jowett, Zayne Tegg, Harlow Janz, Alice Jowett, Zephan Tegg, (and as he said, “I am sorry I won’t be able to meet my Great-Great-Osisim” who will be welcomed into the family in June 2023 by Great-Osisim Hayli (Rhett) Turner), along with multiple cousins, nieces and nephews. 

Billy was a pioneer in paving a path of faith and love for Jesus. He is now shining bright in heaven as a true warrior of God. 

From the words of his family: “we cannot find the words to express how deeply saddened we all are, he was ready when we were not. He loved with no conditions and supported us with every decision, hockey games won’t be the same without him, from white out parties to jumping over coffee tables, he knows how to bring out laughs in us all. We will remember him for his kind heart, loving ways and a personality like no other.” 

He wanted no tears when celebrating such a beautiful life, instead he wants rooms filled with laughter, smiles, jokes and conversations discussing what incredible memories he brought to us all

Funeral Service will be held on Sunday November 27, 2022, at 2pm, at Eternal Grace Funerals.
