Thomas Peter Ciebien

It is with sadness we announce the passing of Thomas Peter Ciebien on February 13, 2024 at the age of 77.

Son of Peter and Stephie, Tom was born January 23, 1947 and raised in the north end of Winnipeg with his older siblings, Frank and Josephine.

Tom attended local schools and graduated from Technical Vocational High School. He worked for The Winnipeg Tribune and later St. John Cantius Church. Tom had an affection for gardening, and he loved his truck. He took joy in being the chauffeur for his mother and father.

He met Beverly at the Winnipeg Canoe Club where they were both members. Married in 1980, they took up residence in a cute little house on Mackenzie Street.
Beverly’s health was failing and she passed away in 2019. This was a tragic and devastating loss to Tom.  Living on his own, Tom’s own health suffered.

The family extends its thanks to the staff from Seven Oaks Hospital, Maples Care Center, Holy Family Nursing Home, and St. Boniface Hospital during Tom’s final days.

Cremation has taken place and Interment will be held at a later date at Holy Ghost Cemetery.
