It is with deep sorrow and sadness that we announce the passing of Theresa Henderson on July 12, 2025, at the age of 62 years old. Theresa was a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, beloved sister, aunt, cousin, and friend whose warmth and unwavering strength touched everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her four children: Chantel (Fitz), Lindsey, David Jr., and Ashley (Abdul); eight grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart: Caley, Avery, Azura, Amir, Arielle, Noah, Jeremiah, and Armaan; including two great-grandchildren: Emory and Ellie.
Left to cherish her memories are her siblings Cecilia (Daniel), Peter, May, and Darlene, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
Theresa was predeceased by her parents: Walter and Betty Henderson (nee Starr), siblings: Margaret, Marilyn, and Tony, uncles: John, Elmer, and Larry Starr; nephews: Laurence, Walter, Lawrence, and Curtis Henderson; and niece: Betty-Ann Henderson.
Theresa’s life was marked by compassion, resilience, and a fierce love for her family. She will be remembered for her infectious laughter, generous heart, and tenacious attitude.
A special thank you to friends and family who contributed and helped with the sacred fire, and to those who sent their condolences and prayers during this difficult time.
Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those she loved and those who loved her in return.
Wake services will be held at Eternal Grace Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, from 6pm-11pm.
Funeral Service will be held at Christ Church Anglican in Sagkeeng First Nation on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at 1pm. Interment to follow at Christ Church cemetery.
