It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Terry Bemma on January 1, 2025 at St. Boniface Hospital.
Terry is survived by his wife, his two daughters, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Terry was born in Port Hope, Ontario, September 20, 1956 to Mike and Dorothy Bemma, one of fourteen brothers and sisters. Terry moved to Winnipeg in the 1970’s and started working in metal fabrication. He very quickly transitioned into the boat manufacturing industry with Vanguard and Odyssea where he spent the majority of his working life. He eventually transitioned to working with Aero Global.
Terry had many passions in life such as spending time with his grandkids, working on his project car and repairing boats. He especially loved going to work and spending time with his coworkers, who he had formed lasting and deep friendships with.
Terry will be remembered for his attempts to make people laugh, either through his silly, out of tune singing, or his constant dad jokes that drove his grandkids up the walls. Terry loved trying to make people close to him smile. He will also be remembered for his willingness to help people in whatever small way he could.
Thank you to the staff at Grace and St. Boniface Hospitals for their help and support over the past two months.
In accordance with his wishes, there will not be a formal service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
