Stanley Edward James (Star Man)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Stanley Edward James "Junior" on February 9, 2024, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Stanley was born on August 25, 1967, in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Stan Jr. is known for his sense of humor and kind heart; he touched the lives of many in his Winnipeg and Roseau River Rapids family.  He had a passion for thrifting and being a handyman.  His dedication to helping others extended beyond his hobbies, as he served in the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry and used his military training to train military drills and marching drills to Roseau River Youth Warriors.   

Stan was predeceased by his grand-parents Roy and Theresa Eagle, his mother and father Stanley and Gertrude James, his brother, Glennie, sister’s Glenda and Marlow, uncles Tom Eagle, James Eagle, cousins David and Donald, Joyce Eagle, Robert McIvor, Uncle Brian, Auntie Helen, Uncle John T. James, Mary Rose Martin, Cousin George James, Uncle Nelson, Auntie Stella, Auntie Annie.

Stanley's sudden passing has left a void in the hearts of his loved ones. He leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth, survived by his younger sisters Kimmie James (Kevin) and Crystal Swampy, his children Danielle, Dylan, Antonelle, Abigail, Ethan, Darian, Shianne, Nathan, Dill-pickle, Devon, Elisa.  Stan had 27 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.    

Stanley's memory will be cherished by Theresa Seenie, Debra, Karen, Liz, Myra, Baby-Brian, Candace, Shelley, Pam, Cecil, Sharon, Cheryl, Nelson, Lisa, Rhona (Ray),  Debra, Lawrence, Ken Jr., Joel, Terryl, Merle, Carol,  April, Jo, Max, Ryan, Melody, Auntie  Rita Eagle, Uncle Gilbert Eagle Auntie June, Auntie Sylvia, Michelle, and many more relatives and friends.

A man of unwavering strength and resilience and his humour impact on those around him will never be forgotten.

A funeral service to honor Stanley's life will be held on Saturday March 2, 2024, at Eternal Grace Funerals on Logan Avenue in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, from 6:00 PM-10:00PM.   May his spirit rest in eternal peace, and may his memory live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
