Sophia McKay Obituary

Peacefully on May 9th, 2022, with her family by her bedside, Sophia McKay passed away at the age of 80.

She is survived by her daughters Bertha (Nicholas), and Edna; sons Jalvis (Fanita), and Brian (Karen); adopted sons Jeffery, Rex, John L., James McKay, Vincent, and Alfred; adopted daughters Sarah N., Gwen, and Taralyn; great granddaughter Lexi; siblings Esola, Matilda,Thomas, and Alex; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Sophia was predeceased by her parents Johnny and Lillian McKay; sisters Elsie, Hilda, and Margaret; brothers Andrew, and Esau (Phillip); son Alfred; daughter Marlene; great grandsons Richard, Craig, and Clinton.

Wake service will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2022, from 7pm-10pm at Eternal Grace Funerals.

Wake services will continue on Friday, May 13, 2022, Saturday, May 14, 2022, and Sunday, May 15, 2022, at Sophia's residence.

Funeral service will follow on Monday, May 16, 2022, at 12 noon at the Community Hall.
