Remembering Sidney Richard Appleby Jr. 

Sidney Richard Appleby Jr., aged 78, passed away peacefully at Poseidon Care Home. He was Born in Red Lake, Ontario to Bella Keeper and Sidney Appleby Sr., Sidney was raised by his maternal aunt, Jane Keeper since he was 3 years old. 

He is predeceased by Shirley and Eddie Pascal and survived by his children Charlotte Stevens and Jason Hunter. 

Throughout his life, Sidney achieved numerous accomplishments. He was an artist and a painter, and he earned his certificate in psychiatry. As a residential school survivor, he found solace in his artwork. Sidney enjoyed visiting his grandmother's trapline with his uncle, John James Keeper. He was also an avid hockey player and spent many joyful hours on the ice. 

Sidney’s legacy is one of resilience, creativity, and love for his heritage and family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and cherished him. 

Sidney's life will be celebrated at Eternal Grace Funeral Home, located at 1111 Logan Ave. The wake will commence at 4:00 pm, followed by services at 6:00 pm, and a feast at 8:00 pm.
