Ronald Gerard Larocque

Ronnie LaRocque, loving husband, dad and Papa passed away in Winnipeg, MB at Health Sciences Centre on March 8th, 2025.

He was predeceased by his father James LaRocque and mother Judy Larocque. Survived by his loving wife of 34 years Jodi, children; Tyson (Cassie) and Micheal (Destiny). 7 beautiful grandchildren; Zofia, Kaydence, Dante, Jayvon, Chevy, Myia, and Seraphina.

Ronnie worked a variety of jobs, construction, industrial painter, painting large construction and defense vehicles, as well as in a welding shop where he went from painting the products to working the CNC machine and installing the pieces made. Always moving on when he felt he could learn no more to conquer the next. In each job he had he quickly moved up into supervisor or foreman positions.

He was able to reach his dream of starting and running his own construction business in 2009 that he had great success as well as employing family and friends.  He secured large demolition contracts. The Avenue building on Portage Ave being his first. He worked on road construction contracts for federal and municipal governments as well as working with several large construction companies in Winnipeg.  

Ronnie unfortunately became ill in 2017 and could no longer carry on running the business.

His greatest joy was his family, first his 2 sons. Then his 7 grandchildren. He spent as much time as he could with them. As well as always opening his home to his nieces and nephews whom he loved too. He’s now reunited with his beloved dog Diesel.

The viewing will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2025, from 1PM- 3PM at Eternal Grace Funerals 1111 Logan Ave. Cremation to follow.
