Renee Jean Chartrand

It is with deep sadness that  we announce the passing of our beloved Renee Chartrand on Monday July 28, 2025.

Renee leaves to mourn her mother, Cecilia Chartrand; her brother Tony (Maria) Irwin; her sisters Fern Henderson, Connie Chartrand (Michael Hunter) and Jolene Sumner. Her nieces and nephews Victoria, Tesla, Christian, Faith, Ethan, Nevaeh, Joel, Rene, Carmen, and Eniko. Her aunts Lynda Chartrand and Lucy Anderson. As well as numerous cousins, extended family, and friends.

Renee was predeceased by her grandparents Andre and Pauline Chartrand, Adilard Belhumeur and Matilda Chartrand; her beloved father Rene Belhumeur; uncle Danny Anderson; niece Savannah Hunter; and cousins Craig Anderson and Shirley Shorting.

Renee was born and raised in Winnipeg Manitoba and later moved to Toronto Ontario. Renee created a life for herself in Toronto, a city she loved.

She did, however, move back to Winnipeg a few months after being diagnosed but her heart was drawing her back to Toronto.

Renee held various positions in administration and finance throughout her career. Renee’s last job was in finance with the city of Toronto that she was so happy about.

Renee’s affection for Toronto is truly inspiring and she has a special place in her heart for the beaches! Her favorite local spots were the sport lounges and restaurants where she’d watch the Toronto Maple Leaf’s and Blue Jay games.

Renee went for daily walks, taking a walk to the beaches, which she loved.

Renee cherished life, her family, and friends. She will undoubtedly rejoice and rejoin beloved people awaiting her arrival.

Celebration of life Saturday August 23, 2025, at 2pm, at Eternal Grace Funerals, 10-1111 Logan Ave. Winnipeg MB.

Honorary Pallbearers: Victoria Gore, Tesla Hunter, Tony Irwin, Christian Hunter, Ethan Hunter, Michael Hunter, Joel Packulak, and all her friends who loved her.
