Raymond was born on September 27th, 1992, in Sudbury, Ontario. He moved to Winnipeg in infancy and resided in Winnipeg until his sudden and unexpected passing.
Raymond enjoyed traveling and spent most of his summers as a youth visiting family both in Sudbury and in Longlac Ontario. During the summer the family enjoyed camping, berry picking, and hunting moose in the fall.
Raymond’s smile would light up the room as soon as he entered it. He would share his gifts of kindness, laughter, and love with everyone present.
Raymond has a large, blended family that is left behind to grieve including his parents, brothers and sisters, and children who he loved dearly. He will be forever remembered and loved by all of them.
Survived by are his parents Marie and Kurt Martens; brothers Anthony (Roseanne) Legarde, Shawn Legarde, Isadore Jr. Taylor, Albert Legarde, Paul Jr. Taylor, Cody Taylor, and Calvin Legarde; sisters Cher Legarde (Edgar), Lisa Legarde, Cheryl Legarde, Marlene Legarde, Vanessa Taylor, and Breyenna Taylor.
Also survived by his precious children, Alex Legarde, Amariah McKay-Legarde, Wyonna Bear and Izobelle Legarde, Anna-Bella, Channel, Paisley, and Roderick.
Also survived by his special friend Amanda Bear who he loved dearly.
Also surviving are many uncles and aunts; Leo Towegejick (Barb), Allan Towegishig (Gail), Joe Towegishig (May), Noel Towegishig, Darryl Taylor, Jerome Taylor; aunts Alice Wesley, Marlene Towegishig. Special cousins Madelen Towegishig and Chance Tremblay, with who he loved to hang out with.
Predeceased by his biological parents, Wanda Taylor and Paul Towegishig; his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many other relations that have gone before him.
Wake service will be held on Tuesday August 19th, 2025, from 5pm – 10pm, at Eternal Grace Funerals, 10-1111 Logan Ave, Winnipeg MB.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday August 20th, 2025, at 11am, also at Eternal Grace Funerals.
Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery.
