It is with heavy hearts that we are announcing the passing of Patricia Anne Harper.
Born January 12, 1990, she passed away January 28, 2025.
Daughter of Finlay M Harper and the late Rosemary Harper, sister of Tefera JJ Harper, Daniel S Harper, Nellie T Harper and a younger sibling who does not wish to be named. She was a mentor figure to many of her cousins and leaves behind many mourning aunts, uncles, extended family members and friends and their families.
Born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba she loved walking all over the city and although she would spend a couple of months in Ontario, or on a reserve to visit, she always came back to her hometown. She was stubborn and loved walking around at night to experience the city in a quieter, more still, environment. This did lead to a few incidents, but nothing would stop her walks for too long.
We were proud of her, though she may not have always believed it, and she lived a long 35 years of life. She graduated High School at RB Russell and went into College Level Baking. She won an award for her passion and worked at Tall Grass Bakery for a couple of years before moving on to other Culinary Positions.
She was talented at making bread, bannock, and trying out new and exciting desserts! She always said that she loved baking because she loved to make people happy with her self-made meals and creations.
She always had struggles with her health and after our mother passed away in 2022 things seemed to take a turn for the worse. As sad as her passing may be, we hope she has found peace and serenity in the arms of The Creator and that she may be reunited with our late mother and her dearly beloved cat Niko wherever the afterlife has taken her spirit.
Her viewing is scheduled to take place at Eternal Grace Funerals on 1111 Logan Avenue. The date is set for February 20th, 2025, from 6pm. till 9.m. She will be cremated, and her ashes will be buried near her mother once the ground is thawed, and our family is ready to say our final goodbye.
