Nelah Sundara Raylene Hotomani

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved daughter, granddaughter, niece, and cousin.

Nelah Hotomani age 12 passed away suddenly on July 25, 2023, at the Children’s Hospital in Winnipeg, MB. Nelah was born on April 20, 2011, to parents Warren Hotomani and Tanya Draper.

Nelah was a beautiful young girl who brought joy and laughter to everyone she met. Her creativity and silliness was infectious and she lit up a room with her smile.She loved nothing more than spending time with her siblings, her cousins, family, and friends playing games, making videos, and sharing stories. Nelah had a passion for horses and was able to venture out this summer to ride horses, in Alberta. She was always up for any adventure or activity people wanted to do. She was always that one person that people could count on. She will continue to stay with us all through memories, and the laughs we all shared with her.

Nelah was predeceased by her grandparents Ray and Edith Draper, her cousin Samantha Laquette-Koch, family friend Sheila Bates. Great grandparents Albert and Irene Koch, Victor Whitequill and Emily Hotomani.

Aunties Vanessa, RanDee, Manon, Leeann. Uncles Jesse, Jamie, and Roy. Cousins Bradley, Dakota, Jesse, Louis and her best friend and cousin Laylah. Best friends Daisy and Heidi. As well as many other numerous Family and friends.

Nelah will always be remembered for her gentleness, grace, and kindness toward others. She always seemed to look out for others and would put them before herself.

 Family Chain

We little knew that morning
Creator was going to call your name

In life we loved you dearly
in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
you did not go alone;
For part of us went with you the day that Creator called you home.
You left us peaceful memories your love is still our guide.

And though we cannot see you,
you are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same; but as Creator calls us, one by one,
The chain will link again.

Family and friends can start arriving at Eternal Grace 530pm-11pm on Tuesday August 8th, 2023.

Ceremony with feast will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday August 9th, 2023.

Internment to follow at Brookside cemetery.
