Nadine Goosehead Sr. Obituary

We are saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Nadine Isabelle Goosehead Sr. on March 28, 2026, at the age of 50 years old. Nadine leaves to mourn her 4 beautiful daughters Dorothy, Nadine Jr (Ashton), Elvira and Bella; her granddaughter Dorothy; her mother Dorothy; her four sisters: Kimberly, Lorraine, Celena (Lorne) and Roberta (Desmond); her four brothers: Alfred Sr., Bennard (Oriole), Harry and George; her three best friends Ernestine Dunsford, Brenda Henderson and Karly Woodhouse (Bali), along with numerous family members, extended family members and friends (especially her “street family”).

Nadine was predeceased by her children Albert III and Daisy; Father Albert Sr.; brothers Nelson Bear, Albert Jr, baby Darrell and Timothy; her sisters Roberta and Nadine; her grandparents Alfred Sr and Isabelle Cook, Timothy and Angelique Goosehead; and her closest cousin/bestie Lois Cook (who happened to pass on the same day of 2023).

Nadine was born in Gimli Manitoba on Sept 16, 1975, and spent most of her child up bringing on the Bloodvein First Nation and was a residential school survivor. She also attended high school in Thompson and Tuelon before moving back to Bloodvein and then went onto settle in and out of Winnipeg until her passing.

While at home in the community she was well known for her baking skills and often baked for those that wanted bread and cinnamon buns, she loved to bake and would be found in the kitchen. She often came home to be with mom and helped mom around the house with everything she needed done. Besides the baking and cooking Nadine also loved singing and dancing especially jigging, she also enjoyed the sport of volleyball and going to garage sales with her sisters. In her younger years she loved to be out on the land and water while camping, fishing, trapping and hunting.

There was one characteristic that people loved that she carried which was the gift of laughter and joke telling. She would crack a joke or say something humorous to make the people around her feel better. Nadine was also a very loving and kind person that would help whenever it was needed even if she was sick. Her family will miss this about Nadine including her “street family” that she often spoke about and told stories about, especially her “Bali” (Karly). She cared and loved hard of those that were around her always.
