It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Murray Coyne on October 28, 2025, at the age of 45, surrounded by his loving family.
Born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Murray loved fishing and was a proud supporter of his hometown teams. He was a big fan of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Winnipeg Jets, and cheered passionately for the Toronto Raptors and Toronto Blue Jays. His love of fishing and sports brought joy to his life and connected him with many friends and family over the years.
Murray is lovingly remembered by his mother Linda Marshall, fathers Glenn Cochrane and Charles (Chuck) Marshall, siblings Nathan Coyne, Natalie Daniels (Joseph), and Renahh Spence (John). He was a proud uncle to nieces Hailey (Marcus), Hannah Devin (Joel), Katelyn Daniels, Natalia and Nina Warner, Johannah, Johneah, Joveah, Jaelynn, and Joriah Spence, and nephews Avery Daniels, Riel Warner, Johnson, Joshua, and Johnny Spence, Creedence Barker, and Marcarius Warner.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Gloria Blanchard (nee Dumas) and Edward Blanchard, Ronald (Ronnie) Coyne, Patricia Coyne, and paternal grandparents Rose Jacobson (nee Chartrand), and Gerald (Gerry) Cochrane. He also joins his beloved aunts Shelly Middleton, Brenda Cochrane, and Debbie Evans, and cousins Gary Kenyon, Priscilla Dumas, Braden Lasage, and baby Jacob Spence in the spirit world.
The family would like to acknowledge the medical teams at the Portage La Prairie District Hospital and at the Health Sciences Centre for the excellent care they provided Murray. The medical teams were supportive and treated Murray with dignity and consideration.
Murray will be remembered for his kind heart, his quiet strength, and the deep love he held for his family and community. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Pallbearers are Levi Morse, Clifford Coyne, Clifford Dumas, Junior Campbell, Troy Cochrane, and Avery Daniels.

Wake: Friday, November 7th, 2025, 6:30 PM to 11:00 PM
Funeral Service: Saturday, November 8th, 2025, 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Location: Eternal Grace Funeral Home 10-1111 Logan Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
A celebration of Murray's life will be held at the above times and location. Details will be shared with family and friends. May he rest in peace and may his journey be guided by love.
