The Spirits have called......
“Mily” passed away on the road after a long battle with various natural causes. She was always in motion and a little firecracker who was all about connecting with people and a joyful spirit. A real people person her love for family, her pets and children was special and it poured out onto others who ever had the chance to be in her presence. She was sober and dedicated to helping connect the northern communities of Manitoba with resources and vital information while she would often do her airport runs with Rick to help people on their way.
Mildred was predeceased by her loving brother’s Wilbert, Alfred & Cliebrun and leaves behind her loving brother Marcel & her partner Rick Dewar who was tirelessly her best friend confidant, lover and partner. They kept each other happy and really loved to laugh and share most of their time together. The Pranteau family wishes to acknowledge Rick and honour him for the past years; his strength and dedication to his fallen partner is commendable and truly a demonstration of love. Thank you.
We are very taken back by this loss her daughters Diane, Susan, Stephanie and Athena and her son Geoffrey are in mourning and with these complicated times of this pandemic we are unsure how to navigate this but will ensure what’s done is honouring Mildred’s zest for life, love honesty and goodwill. We love you Mom.
We also would like to thank all the family members who took the time to help make Milly’s final wishes possible.
Private service was held with burial at Brookside Cemetery.
