Passed away August 28, 2025, in Winnipeg Manitoba.

Melvina leaves to honour her memory: Survived by Her children - Cree-Lynn Hunt, Shaelei Hunt, Maeres Kematch (Colton Blais), Faron Kematch, and Dylan Bird-Swampy.

Granddaughter - Rozeyah Kechego (Bird-swampy).

Mother - Priscilla Bird.

Sister - Trish Hunt.

Brother - Donovan Frost.

Nephew - Justin Hunt.

Godchildren - Richard (Brub) and Shawstasia.

Many nephews and nieces, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins from the Hunt Family and the Bird Family.

Her best friends - Kristi Davis, Diane Sandy, Melissa Jansen and all her coworkers from Ikwe women’s shelter.

She was predeceased by her Father Melvin Floyd Hunt, her uncle Kirk Hunt, Aunt Anne Bird, Her grandparents Floyd and Betty Hunt, Grace Bird and John Smith.

Honorary pallbearers: Richard Swampy-Starr, Justin Hunt, Donovan Frost, Faron Kematch, Dylan Bird-Swampy, Trish Hunt, Cree-Lynn Hunt, Shaelei Hunt, and Maeres Kematch.

Goodbyes are not forever, are not the end; it simply means I’ll miss you until we meet again.

Wake Service will be held on Monday September 15, 2025, from 7pm - 11pm, at Eternal Grace Funerals.

Funeral Service be be held Tuesday September 16, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., also at Eternal Grace Funerals.

Cremation to follow.
