Melvin Charles Ballantyne

It is with great sadness that we inform everyone that our Grampa, Father, Brother, Uncle Melvin Charles Ballantyne Sr. has passed away.  It was with his children, family, and loved ones around him that he passed onto the spirit world. 

He leaves to mourn him, his children Stephanie, Hilary (Bruno), Josh, Charli, Melvin Jr., Carter, Bianca/Mars and children of his heart, Melvina, Jennifer, and David, and his siblings Sonny, Darrell, Sharon (Vernon), Conrad and nieces and nephews too many to mention. 

Melvin was a strong, caring man who everyone easily called their friend. He took care of everyone and anyone around him. He cared for his children for most of their lives and taught them the hard-working loving character he bestowed every day.  

At the time of his death, he resided with his 3 youngest children and his presence will be sorely missed. The children's mother (Lynne) asks that everyone please share his love of life and family by continuing the tradition of family dinners and visiting them and keeping the memory of Melvin alive.

Wake Service will be held on Sunday March 17, 2024 from 3pm-11pm at the Deliverance Centre 1831 Selkirk Avenue.  Wake Service will continue on Monday March 18, 2024 from 7pm-11pm at Eternal Grace Funerals Chapel.  Funeral Service to follow on Tuesday March 19, 2024 at 11am also at the Chapel. Interment at Brookside Cemetery.
