It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Melissa Erin Abraham (Southern-Flying Thunderbird Woman) on October 24, 2023, in Winnipeg, MB. Melissa was born on November 14, 1975, in Winnipeg, MB, and was a beloved daughter, mother, sister, auntie, grandmother, cousin, and friend.
Melissa is survived by her father, Mel, sisters and brothers, Marilyn (Chris), Marshall (Jessica), Sabina, and Chris. Children, Destiny, Justice (Ryan), Branden (Trinity), Nathan, Ethan, Lloyd, and Blair, grandchildren, Ayden and Baby Branden, and many aunties, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Melissa was a vibrant and passionate woman whose greatest accomplishments were her children. She had a deep love for sports, especially hockey, football and was a proud supporter of the Winnipeg Jets and Bombers. She was passionate about music and singing and was often found listening to country and classic rock. She had many passions in life including going to concerts, barbecuing in the park, sewing, and knitting.
Melissa enjoyed life to her fullest and will be deeply missed by all. We are grateful to the Creator for blessing our lives and memories during her short journey with us. We take great comfort that she is now with the ancestors and free of all earthly pain and suffering.
Wake will be held at Eternal Grace Funerals on Monday November 6, 2023, from 6:00 PM. till 11 P.M.
Funeral service will follow on Tuesday November 7, 2023, at 10:30 AM at Eternal Grace Funerals.
Interment will be at Brookside Cemetery, feast to follow at Eternal Grace Funeral.
