Mary Guimond Obituary

Mary Louise Guimond nee Bruyere - Golden Eagle Woman of Winnipeg, MB passed away on September 10, 2024, at 12:04PM after a long and fulfilling life.

Mary was born on August 13, 1944, in Fort Alexander, MB. She was the third of five siblings. Mary married Philip Guimond in 1962 and had a daughter, Beatrice, and two beloved grandsons, Adam and Aaron.

She also had many children and grandchildren she adopted with her heart.

Mary Louise or Kookum/Nana, as she was known to a lot of people, enjoyed spending time with her daughter, grandsons, and granddaughter-in-law Joanne.

She enjoyed bingo every Saturday on TV and radio, she liked cheering on the Winnipeg Jets and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on TV. She also enjoyed chatting on Facebook with her friends and playing the free slots game. Mary also loved her two cats, Billy and Ted very much.

She was predeceased by her husband Philip, brothers George and Edward, sister Madeline, granddaughter Shawna, nieces Joanne and Ida, nephew Carl and parents Gus and Margaret.

She is survived by her daughter Beatrice, grandsons Adam and Aaron, sister Stella, and many nieces and nephews in Sagkeeng First Nation and Winnipeg.

A Celebration of her life will be held at Eternal Grace Funerals on Sunday September 15, 2044, from 2PM to 8PM, 10-1111 Logan Avenue, Winnipeg, MB.
