Mary Diane (Spence) Desjarlais

February 27th, 2025, Mom, Granny and Great Granny surrounded by her Family passed away at the Grace General Hospital at the age of 80.

Diane Leaves to mourn her children Joan Davis, Bernice Starr {Archie}, Robert Parisian, Charlene Phillips, Corrinne Starr {Kelvin} and Darren Parisian {Heather}

Sister Lucille Flett, Sister-in-LawEunice Assiniboine, Special daughter Verna Munroe and Special Friends Lynda Jolicoeur and Beatrice of Makanak, Manitoba.  She also was blessed with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and her special friends of the Kateri Choir.

Her Grandchildren: Eric {Pamela} Jonathon & Jordon, Nicole {Lyle} Melissa, William {Polgara} David, Kathleen, Lillian, Joshua, Maria, Danika, Brendan, Bethany {Jackson} Rachel {Chance} Joseph, Cory {Amber} Kyle, Kristen , Chelsey , Angel , Darren jr , Alyssa-Lynn , Amy-Lynn & Jackson .  Cameron, Sidney and Kayla

Her Great Grandchildren Caleb, Lauryn, Logan, Brody, Grace, Tianna, Blair, Jase, Kade, Tait, Jayden, William Jr. Bellamy, Kameron, Landon, Emily, Diamond, Madison, Mckenzie, Danielle, Talon, Aurora . Andreas, Kally and Trisha.

Diane was predeceased by her Parents Abraham and Mary Spence.  Baby brother at birth, Brothers Gordon Spence, Wilfred Spence, and sister Zelda Sanoffsky.  Sisters in law Gertie Sturgeon and Jean Spence.  Brother-in-Law William Flett.  Special Nephews Billy Flett Jr. and Wilfred Spence Jr.  Great Grandson Zayden Starr.  Sons in law Walter Charlette and Darrell Phillips.

Husband Paul Desjarlais, and Father of her children Roger Parisian.

Pallbearers: Darren Parisian Sr., Darren Parisian Jr., Eric Davis, William Starr, David Starr, Brendan Phillips, Joseph Phillips, Cory Parisian, Caleb Campbell, Jonathon Charlette and Jordon Charlette.

Diane was a proud mother, granny and great granny and she loved them all dearly.  Mom's legacy will live in each one of them.

Diane was an active member of the Bosco Center and the Kateri Parish for over 43 years.  She served on the Kateri Perish Council, liturgy group, baptism prep, fund raising group for the Kateri Parish, and was an active member of the Kateri Parish Choir.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to her physician Dr. Haresha of The Red River Medical Centre, The doctors and nurses of the Emergency department at the Grace General Hospital and the Doctors and Nurses of the 3 North ward of the Grace General Hospital.

Wake services will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at 7:00 pm -11 p.m. at the Eternal Grace Funeral Home, 1111 Logan Ave. Winnipeg, Manitoba

Funeral services will be held on March 7th, 2025, at 2 pm at the Kateri Parish 265 Flora Ave, Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Diane will be cremated and buried with her father Abraham Spence at a later date.

A fellowship luncheon will follow the funeral services.
