Marietta Star Colombe

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the tragic passing of our beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and beloved relative Marietta Star Colombe. 

Daughter of Laurenta and Randall Colombe. 

Born to the world on September 8, 2014, Marietta joined her loving family circle with her siblings, Danica wood, Dawson Moose, Trevor Wood, Joseph(ine) Wood, Christian Colombe, Berniece Colombe, Connor Colombe, Elsie Colombe, Joseph Colombe, and William Colombe. 

Tragically passing on February 4, 2026, she leaves behind to mourn her parents, siblings, grandparents, Ronald B and Freda Moose, and Sophia Linklater with late Ralph Colombe.

Her Uncles, Curtis McDonald, Roger McDonald-Laewetz, John Charles McDonald, 

And her many, many loved relatives.

At the young of 11 years old, Marietta tragically took her life upon sustaining repetitive bullying and harassment at the hands of other students on the night of Wednesday February 4, 2026. 

May her tragic passing be a reminder to monitor your children’s activities against bullying and how the devastating effects can impact a community, family, and social circles. Bullying in any form is never acceptable and can have a lasting impact on those affected. 

I wish someone spoke up sooner against any witness to the bullying sustained as it may have made a huge difference and outcome. If you see something say something, you never know if you can save a life just by speaking up. 

While you sit with your kids for dinner, know that the effects of bullying have cost us an innocent life that will never be returned. Always feel free to reach out and speak up you will be heard and you’re never alone in this cruel world. 

Rest easy my niece, you will be forever loved.

Wake service to take place on Tuesday Feb. 17, 2026, from 7pm – 10pm at Eternal Grace Funerals (10-1111 Logan Ave. Winnipeg MB).

Funeral Service to take place on Wednesday Feb. 18, 2026, at 12pm, also at Eternal Grace Funerals.

Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery.
