Maria Helena Bettencourt

Honoring the life of Maria Helena Bettencourt who peacefully passed away with family at her side at MiddleChurch Personal Care Home on March 29, 2022, to be with her Lord.

She was predeceased by her mother Christina Dias; father Fransico Pereira; and sister Maria Pereira.

She is survived and lovingly remembered by her children Manuel (Joceline), Arthur (Cheryl), Maria Grace, Brenda (Tony) Alberta, Anna, Rosa (Barry), John (Goretti); and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mom was born in Portugal in 1935 and moved to Canada in her early twenties. She was a stay-at-home mom until her early 40’s and then worked at Eatons until her retirement. She enjoyed her retirement at home until her move to MiddleChurch Personal Care Home in 2017.

The family would like to thank all the staff at MiddleChurch for their loving and compassionate care especially in mom’s final days.

Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Ave, on April 19, 2022, at 2pm.
