“I have loved you since you were a star in the sky. And I will love you until I return to the stars
(and forevermore). Watching (over you) with your ancestors...on that day you make the journey
to the next place. We will sing you home. <3

Leonard touched so many lives around him. He was born in Thompson, MB and moved to
Brandon, Manitoba just before his 2nd birthday in August 1986 with his parents and his brother
Nathan. Leonard grew up and attended school in Brandon. He moved to Winnipeg when he
was 17 where he remained until he moved to Saskatchewan in Sept 2021. Leonard was
deeply loved by many and will be forever deeply missed. He had just started a new job in the
days leading up to his passing. Leonard was a naturally talented and very skilled artist. He
was a happy child who had his own unique perceptive on life, and lived as such. We will miss
his smiles that would light up a room. Through the challenges of life, he still saw the good in
every situation. Leonard had big hopes and dreams and our love for him will continue in
whatever is done for those who are hurting and still struggle - we will remember Leo for his
heart for those who had challenges in life, as he did.
To those who knew and loved him, and called him “friend & brother”, saw Leonard as truly
unforgettable. His confidence and individuality was always admired. It was so easy for him to
make friends, people gravitated towards him, his personality and intelligence. He was a light, a
Star, Star, they said, with gratitude for time and awesome memories with Leo.
