Lawrence Ephrem (Donny) Chartrand

With heartfelt sadness Lawrence Ephrem Chartrand (Donnie) quietly and peacefully joined his family and friends in the spirit world. At the age of one, he was raised by predeceased parents Rodrick and Christine Hudson; then at age seven grandparents Alpheus and Connie Cook; also predeceased wife Margaret and precious baby Christine Chartrand, brother Al Dorion, sister Charlotte Dumont. He leaves behind Barb Sutherland, who attended to his every need, during the time of his illness, she never left his side in the hospital or at home. He also leaves behind, the Sutherland families, his sisters Dorothy McLeod, Marlene Packo, Shirley Ballantyne, auntie Sarah Cook nieces Elaine McLeod (Rick) Charlene Koss (Kyle)Hillary and son Matt, Cookie Columb (Robin)son Albert Cook and kiddies, nephews Brian McLeod (Debbie), Glen Bear Ballantyne (Rodney)uncle Herman Turner, godson Mathew Contios, best friend Ben Harper and numerous friends and family.

However, at an early age he left home to pursue his dream of becoming a rich man buying lottery and playing bingo which he didn’t win. But his only wealth he gave was always teasing and loving his family and friends.

However, many times when the Cancer was taking over, he said he was going to rely on the higher power, who helped him not suffer though his end-of-life illness.

The family would like to thank cancer care, and the Palliative care team for all their help throughout his stay at home. (He will be sadly missed by all.)
