Larry Vernon Thomas

It is with great and deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and dear friend Larry Vernon Thomas on Thursday May 9,2024 with Penny and Poncho by his side.

He was predeceased by his father Peter, mother Edna, sister Corrine and brothers Richard, Eric, and David.

He is survived by his children daughter Penny Vandale, son Poncho (Larry) Vandale (Shawn-Kelly); stepchildren Cheryl, Stephine, and Courtney; brothers Jim, Charles and Dale; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, as well as his other Sinclair family, and many other family and friends.

Cremation has taken place. There will be no formal service. Interment service will be held at a later date at Traverse Bay Cemetery.

Larry enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends. He worked many years as a sandblaster. Larry was always one to make you laugh with his many jokes and pranks, he was always joking and smiling. He enjoyed watching his wrestling, hockey, and football. Larry will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.                                   

   Family Chain

We knew that morning,

God was going to call your name

In life we loved you dearly

In death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you,

You did not go alone.

For part of us went with you,

The day that God called you home.

You left us peaceful memories

Your love is still our guide,

And though we cannot see you,

You are always at  our side.

Our family chain is broken

And nothing seems the same.

But as God calls us one by one

The chain will link again.
