Lacey Maria Grace Peebles

Lacey Maria Grace Peebles  Okanaganwaanbamananangoon “She looks at stars”, passed away peacefully on the evening of Thursday, January 2, 2024, with the love of her family, chosen family, and friends by her side.  Lacey was a proud Anishinaabe Ikwe who embraced the red road.  

Throughout her life, Lacey was vibrant, upbeat, smart, and a deep thinker who could light up a room as soon as she walked into it. Lacey always encouraged those around her to be the best version of themselves, as she was unapologetically always herself. She was the definition of an altruistic human. Lacey was known for her kind soul, loving personality, and free spirit.  Lacey enriched the lives of those around her, demonstrating strength and resilience in everything she did.

The family will be holding a funeral service for Lacey from Noon – to 5:00 PM on Monday, January 13, 2025, at the Eternal Grace Funeral Home, 1111 Logan Avenue, Winnipeg, Mb.

Tuesday, January 14, 2025, the wake will be at the Anglican Church in Fort Alexander at 3:30 PM.

Wednesday, January 15, 2025,  the burial will take place at The Anglican  Church and Cemetery in  Fort Alexander.

The family invites all who had the honor of knowing Lacey to attend.
