Jessica Elaine Pronteau

It is with heavy hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, auntie, niece, cousin, sister-in-law and friend.

Jessica Elaine Pronteau

January 22, 1990 – April 4, 2024

Jessica was the daughter of Robert Pronteau Jr. and Charlene Mowat and Mother to her only son Riley Pronteau-Smith.  She was born in Winnipeg, and grew in Thicket Portage, Hudson Bay Sask, Selkirk MB and resided in Winnipeg.  Jessica graduated in Winnipeg and was currently working at the N’Dinawemak “Our Relatives Place” (Homeless Shelter on Disraeli).  She also worked numerous jobs throughout her life in Winnipeg.

Jessica was a loving, caring and smart person who captured many hearts. She was a dear friend too many. She loved to shop, doing her eye-lashes, loved her shoes, doing her nails, shopping for purses and hanging out with her friends.  Jessica had a contagious laugh that we can still hear.  But most of all she loved spending her time and doing her pranks on her son Riley.

Jessica leaves to mourn her son Riley Pronteau-Smith, her parents Robert and Charlene, her brothers Douglas (Alana), Nathan (Lindsy), and sister’s Jocelyn and Darian. Her granny Sarah Mowat, nieces Ciara, Rosalie Brinleigh, Emma and nephews Tyler, DJ and Robert and Riley’s dad Clint. Numerous uncles and aunties.

Jessica was predeceased by grandparents Robert and Rosalie Parenteau, her grandpa Barney Mowat, and numerous uncles and aunties

Wake service will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, from 7pm to 11 pm at the Eternal Grace Funeral Home on 1111 Logan Avenue in Winnipeg Manitoba.

Funeral service will be on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at the Eternal Grace Chapel on 1111 Logan Avenue in Winnipeg Manitoba.

Cremation to Follow.
