It is with relief, yet heavy hearts, that we share the sudden loss of Jeremy Shane Barker, age 29, along with his ride and die, love of his life, Klyona Tristan Sumner, age 27, on April 25, 2026.
Jeremy will be deeply missed by his "mah," Bonnie, brothers Blade (Emily), Easton (Ivy), Rainer (Cara), and his baby sister, Emersyn (Jaydon), and baby brother, Grayson; nephew Evan, niece Aurora. They leave behind their only son, “my liddo geezo” Lorenzo, along with his special aunt Carlett.
Jeremy also leaves to mourn his uncle Karley-boy (Tweety), his godfather Anthony, and his aunt Leta (Will). His bio-fasha ole Wescott, his other sisters Alyssia and Savannah, and his other brother, Easton.
My Jam was charming and charismatic, had a big heart full of love, greeted you with a hug and the biggest smile, and he loved making people laugh, especially his “Mah”. People called him a mama’s boy; he didn’t care, he would laugh and say, “Well, yeah, sooo.”
Jeremy was a lil gypsy with both sides of family growing up, no wonder he chose to live life on the mean streets of the city, where he met his true ride or die, sick-nig ole Klyona, awe my girl.
These kids sure gave us a run right to their bitter end. Their paths were not smooth, nor easy, which eventually led them down the road of addiction. As much as they wanted and tried to “get clean,” they couldn’t.
They reached the end of their path and fulfilled their purpose. There is comfort knowing they are free of all the ugliness and finally at peace.
Thank you, Creator, for the years we got to spend with Jam and Kly. They taught us some crazy lessons, but they were both such blessings.
Emersyn and I extend our heartfelt thank you to the fire keepers, Karl, Tweety, Storm, Jordan, Aggi and all those who came to sit with us, the ones who donated, and to Hollow Water Chief and Council.
A very special thank you to Tweety, Carol, and my baby girl Emersyn for being by my side. Finally, I would like to express my gratitude to Nick. What you do is not easy, the amount of care and guidance, even the hugs you share, thank you. I pray Creator keeps us wrapped in his unconditional loving arms now and always.
Closure viewing will take place Friday May 8, 2026, from 7:30pm - 10:30pm, at Eternal Grace Funerals (10-1111 Logan Ave. Winnipeg MB).
Cremation to follow.
