Jeremiah Riley James Bateman

With broken hearts and immeasurable love, we announce the passing of our son, Jeremiah Riley James Bateman, who left us far too soon on February 14, 2026, at the age of 21.

From the moment he entered this world, Jeremy filled our lives with light, laughter, and purpose. He had a smile that could warm any room and a spirit that touched everyone fortunate enough to know him. Whether he was playing football, spending time with family, or simply sharing one of his unforgettable laughs, he lived with a kindness that left a lasting mark on all who knew him. Jeremy was more than a son—he was a friend, an uncle, he loved being an uncle the most, a protector, a source of pride, and a daily reminder of what unconditional love truly means. His compassion, strength, and unique personality made him who he was, and those gifts will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving parents, Donna and William, and his siblings Donovan, Jasmine, Riley, Phayden, Bella, Brandon, Alicia, Kyle, Thomas and Chantel, Kerah and Junior as well as his other beloved siblings. Also, his niece and nephew Dacian and Neh’thea Bella, who meant the world to him, his grandmother Lymn Bateman and Roberta and so many extended family members, there is way too many to name.

Jeremiah was predeceased by his grandfather William Bateman, niece Ah'Nyree Asia, Uncle Billy, and a lot of friends who he had lost. He had so many friends that loved him so very much.

One of his greatest accomplishments was graduating, he was so proud of himself as he should he. He was stubborn as heck, and he wasn’t scared to show you that if he had something to say he would say it.

Though our arms are empty, our hearts remain forever full of the love he gave us. We will carry his memory with us in every sunrise, every quiet moment, and every act of kindness we share in his honor. Our son, our heart, our forever love — you will be missed beyond words and remembered beyond time.

Wake service to be held on Monday Feb. 23, 2026, from 6pm – 11pm at Eternal Grace Funerals (10-1111 Logan Ave. Winnipeg MB).

Funeral service to be held the following day, Tuesday Feb. 24, 2026, at 12pm, also at Eternal Grace Funerals.

Cremation to follow.
