Jeannie Daniels Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jeannie Daniels, peacefully on Friday, December 6, 2024, at the Riverview Health Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Treaty No. 1. She was a loving wife and wonderful mother.

Jeannie was a tribal member of the Navajo Nation and had held a treaty under Swan Lake First Nation. Her traditional Navajo name translates to Pumpkin Woman who Helps. She was born in Bitahnii (Within his covered Arms) and born for Todachinni (Bitter Water), and a descendent of Chief Manuelito.
She leaves to mourn her husband of 48 years, Robert Daniels, of Swan Lake First Nation.
She is survived by her six children: Yolanda, Pamela, Roberta (Clay), Sheleen (Dana), Jeremy (Jessica), Kristy-Dawn (Roger), and 24 grandchildren: Steven, Angela, Emily, Mary, Maximilian, Joshua, Zachary, John, Emma, Clayton, Ethan, Corey, Preston, Brittany-Rae, Jack, Seven, Christian, Walter, Shaylynn, Keara, Arianna, Adrian, Roger and many great-grandchildren. She leaves to mourn her brother Abel Toledo Jr., of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

She is predeceased by her loving parents Mary (Billie) and Abel Toledo Sr., sister Amalia (Molly) Toledo, brothers Preston Toledo and George Toledo, son Milton D. Jensen Jr. and Tracey Daniels.
 

She will be missed by her numerous nieces and nephews, other extended relatives throughout the Navajo Nation and Canada. We would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the 3rd Floor Staff at Riverview Health Centre, Helping Hands Senior Services, Manitoba Health Services- her Homecare & Nurse’s and the Movement Disorder Association of Manitoba Inc. for her Parkinson’s.

Our Family appreciates all your warm condolences, and we thank you.  A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, December 10,2024 at Eternal Grace Funerals at 12:00 noon, 1111 Logan Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Final resting place at Brookside Cemetery, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
