Jeannette Angelina (Hermary) Goodman

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jeannette Goodman, sister, aunt, friend and mother.  She passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 13, 2021.

Jan was predeceased by her husband Doug Goodman, parents and 3 brothers.  She is survived by her 2 sisters and 2 brothers, and their families. Left to mourn her passing is her loving family and many friends, including her sister of the heart, Joyce Howell.  She will be especially missed by her constant companion, her beloved Tikki.

Jan loved her summers at Selkirk Park. Her nieces and nephews fondly recall swimming in the pool, wonderful campfires in the evening and tent movie nights.  They also knew their Auntie Jan would spend days dreaming up other fun activities for them to do. 

Jan spent most of her lengthy career as co-owner of Nairn Beauty Salon.  She was known for her high styling talents as well as being an educator in the field.   She was loved and respected by all her clients.

She loved to fish but her health conditions made this especially difficult over the last year.  We would like to thank Richard and Kristen for the care that allowed Jan to live her life to the fullest, including fishing until her heart was content.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date, COVID restrictions permitting.
