Jaylene Amos Obituary

Forever in our hearts

Jaylene Helen Jade Amos

Niinookaazi Ikwe (Hummingbird Woman)

It is with deep sadness and sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved daughter Jaylene Helen Jade Amos at the age of 21

Jaylene is survived by her parents Jennifer Dubuc and David Amos; her son Haïden and her loving partner Mitchell Hanslip; as well as her two younger sisters Jordan and Brooklynn Dubuc; Jaylene’s grandmothers Sherry Lukianchuk, and Delores Monkman (Derrick); grandfather’s Leonard Amos (Jeanette), Merle Lukianchuk, and Irwin Kelher; great grandfather Oscar Julian Dubuc; aunt’s Tessa Cook (Jacob), Thomaszina Dubuc (Phil), Merlee Lukianchuk (Mitchell), Josie Amos (Dillon Breed), and Michelle Amos; uncle’s Jeff Lukianchuk (Rayne), Justin Lukianchuk (Serena), Ryan Lukianchuk, Victor Beaulieu; and her special cousin’s Jayden Amos (Jeremy Kipling) and Anjali Shorting.

Jaylene came from two large families with numerous family members too many to mention.

Jaylene was a beautiful, caring person who loved to spend her time with family and friends especially her cousin Jayden Amos. Together they made years of unforgettable childhood memories.

As Jaylene got older, she developed a love and passion for doing make up and hair. She had an extreme talent creating braids and hairdos for her friends and family, her little cousins were often her practice clients. Jaylene held many talents and demonstrated them through dance and music as she loved to sing. Jaylene graduated from Gordon Bell High School in June 2021 and was a soon to be mother.  Baby Haïden came into her life not long after her graduation, she attended Booth University to pursue her goal of becoming a Social Worker. Jaylene took a leave from her studies to care for baby Haïden full time with her partner Mitchell, whom she loved dearly.  Mitchell took the greatest care of Jaylene and Haïden; he was an amazing father and provider. He often showed off his cooking skills and helped prepare meals. Jaylene had a love for food and enjoyed eating, in a short time she acquired Mitchell’s cooking skills. Thank you, Mitchell, for all the love and affection you provided, you made Jaylene very happy. We love you with all our hearts and you will always be a big part of our family.

Jaylene was a kind loving girl who has made an impact on all our lives. She came into this world on her grandmother Sherry’s birthday and will forever hold a piece of all our hearts. Gigawaapaamin Minaawa Niinookaazii Ikwe
