Israel John Napoleon Paul

Israel John Napoleon Paul, spirit name Black Little Raven Boy “Izzy” was born on November 10th, 2008.

It is with deep sadness that we share his sudden passing on Friday, December 5, 2025, taken from us far too early at age 17. He leaves his Mother Sophia, father Anthony Berens, Granny Verna and Kookoo Dorothy who loved him greatly. Izzy was a big brother to his siblings Rosalee, Tonia, Presley and AJ Berens, who he was a big brother too. They cared for him and he helped them to be kind and gentle to others as well.

Izzy was our angel who touched many lives.

The lives of daycare staff, teachers and children at his school. They would greet him each morning waving “Good morning, Izzy!” each time he entered the daycare or school. He touched the lives of many family members and friends of Sophia and Anthony. There are too much to name.

He was curious of babies and was so gentle and kind with them, and young children. He truly had a kind and gentle soul. His love for music was undeniable.

He’d bounce and bob his head when he heard a tune, he liked which was almost any type of music. A good old R&B beat to traditional drum songs. No matter what, he’d be there dancing along with a smile on his face.

Izzy was our Angel. And his papa Kendall, along with other predeceased Paul and Berens family members have greeted him to the spirit world with love so pure. This is where he will continue to be our Angel until we meet again.

Wake service to be held Friday Dec. 19, 2025, from 7pm – 11pm, at Eternal Grace Funerals (10-1111 Logan Ave. Winnipeg MB).
