Irene Valiquette

With heavy hearts we announce that on Monday May 26th, 2025, Irene Valiquette, at the age of 84, passed away at the Riverview Health Centre.

Irene was predeceased by her mother; Florence Valiquette, father; Edeas Valiquette, daughter; Yvonne Danebrook, sisters; Rose Cochrane, Therese Kohut, and Ethel Valiquette, brothers; James Valiquette, Marcel Valiquette, Raymond Valiquette, and Edward Valiquette. Sisters-in-law; Frances Valiquette, Elaine Valiquette, Mary Valiquette, and Betty Valiquette, brothers-in-law; Clarence Cochrane, and Maurice Kohut. Her nephew; Eugene Valiquette, and niece; Vivia Cochrane.

She is survived by her two daughters; Kim Astle and Theresa McKay, grandchildren; Dinah McKay, Kaleena Astle, Katrina Astle, Colton McKay, Richard Paul, Janine Cochrane, and Meagan Cochrane, great grandchildren; Dmitri, Haylee, Wyatt, Joseph, Jaylynn, Colson, and Kili, Brady,Amelia,and Weston. As well as numerous other nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Wake service will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd, 2025, 7pm – 10pm, at Eternal Grace Funerals, 1111 Logan Ave.

Service will follow on Wednesday, June 4th, 2025, at 12pm, also at Eternal Grace Funerals.

Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Derek Danebrook, Colton McKay, Gerald Valiquette, Larry Cochrane, Pierre Cochrane, and Jordan Santiago.
