Ian Derek Sinclair

We announce the devastating passing of Ian Derek Sinclair “Yogi” age 62, born May 6,1961 in Winnipeg, MB. He was from the reserve Brokenhead Ojibway Nation but spent most of his life in Winnipeg. Ian loved to be with his family; especially his sister Linda and had a good bond with his nephews Nish and Johnny. He liked to have a beer when he could even get a song in at karaoke.

Ian was a loving father and a good provider. Life will never be the same. Ian leaves behind his three daughters; Roxanne, Ashley (Dominique), Joelene (Kyle) and stepdaughter Charlene who he treated like his own; mothers of his girls Doreen and Flora; his siblings Kim, Audrey and Greg, numerous aunts, uncles,  cousins, nieces and nephews; grandchildren Paige, Dreony, Jaydan (Muffy Man), Jaliyah, Jaylene, Armanii, Dominique Jr., Serenity, Kyla, Kyrie, Kiyah, Kiiandre and Zaelynn and three great grandchildren.

Ian is predeceased by his parents Edna Sinclair and Norman Robson; sister Linda Stove; brothers Mike Sinclair, Larry Sinclair, Lyle Sinclair (Chuck); his nephew Johnny Stove and his favorite dog “Buddy” haha.

Wake service will be held on Friday August 23,2024 from 7 p.m.-11 p.m. at Eternal Grace Funerals and on Saturday August 24,2024 from 4 p.m. – 11 p.m., service will follow on Sunday August 25,2024 at 1 p.m. at the Private Tom Chief Memorial Hall in Brokenhead First Nation. Interment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery.
