Our son Grew up and lived in Winnipeg. Houston enjoyed going home to Berens River and Lake Manitoba First Nation where he and his siblings would visit family, play outside, go swimming, camp, and enjoy sitting around the fire and being in the country. Houston attended Elwick Community School, where he was a school cross guard for many years and won awards for his service. Houston worked very hard to get the awards. Houston will be missed by his classmates. Houston would spend many hours playing outside with his friends and is well known in the neighborhood.
Houston was a kind polite and happy child, a really good kid. Houston and his siblings were really close and did everything together. He liked to have discussions and share what he knew about the word of God with his family. Houston wanted to join the military and talked about the war with his dad. Houston never missed an opportunity to lay and cuddle with his mother and be in the comfort of her arms. Houston will be missed dearly by his big family, the Bouchie’s and Monkman’s, we will continue to hold his memory close to our hearts, yesterday, today, and forever.
