Henry Melvin Simard

 Henry Melvin Simard born July 9th, 1939 - February 17th, 2021 it is with deep sadness that our family announces the passing of henry our patriarch, father, grandfather, great grand father, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend. Henry spent his last days surrounded by family, Daughters Lillian, Joyce and grand daughter Charmaine and his son Bernard. (due to the COVID-19 restrictions not all his family could be with him, however, was with him in prayer and would send their love)

He leaves to celebrate his life his children, Vern, Lillian, Joyce(ed), Leon (Natasha), Marge (Jason), Bernard and numerous Grandchildren and Great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and his brothers and sisters and their families.

Henry was predeceased by his Loving wife Marjorie, parents Wilfred & Matilda Simard, brothers Gabriel and Elmer, sisters Auriella, Katherine and Elsie and daughter in law Barbara.

Henry enjoyed the company of his large family and deeply loved his grand children and great grandchildren. Henry was deeply committed to his faith in God, he enjoyed being on the land and water He was a leader and instrumental in building Seymourville to what it has become today.  Henry will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

The family of Henry Simard would like to give thanks to the Pine Falls Hospital staff and to the director Vivik. The family also extends their thanks and appreciation to GIIGEWIGAMIG Traditional Healing Center.

Wake services will be held starting Saturday at 9 o’clock am respecting the COVID-19 restrictions 10 people allowed at a time it will be held at the St. Josephs Oratory Seymourville MB.

His funeral procession will be held Monday February 22 beginning at 1 o’clock limiting capacity at Seymours Harbor Hall and will also be available via livestream.
