It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Gregory Lewis Franklin (Greg) on April 18, 2025, at the age of 47. Greg was born in Winnipeg born July 25, 1977, to his wonderful mother Jean Franklin and his father Russell Franklin, he was their first baby.
He leaves behind his partner Gina Bouchie of 28 years and his son he loved with his whole heart, Lewis Jared Russ J.R. Franklin. 2 daughters Yvette and Ezeda Swain.
His only sister Alisa (Paul), brothers; Charles, Russell Lee, Shawn (Lacey) and numerous nieces and nephews. His precious aunts Joyce, Betty (Blake), Florence (Al), Angie (Greg) and his uncles, Lindsay (Brenda), Colin (Melanie), Oliver (Farah) and Hazel Franklin. Many, many loving cousins and friends.
Greg was a very humble man, always had a smile on his face. He loved working for his community. He helped build the all-weather road; he was very skilled in many ways. He played a lot of sports in his day; he was very athletic. He loved the outdoors; he grew up hunting with his favorite uncle Gerald. Mostly, he loved his son.
Greg was predeceased by some very loving people in his life; Louella & Oliver Cochrane, Myrtle & Colin Murdoch, John Franklin (Marno), his best cousin Conrad Franklin and his brother Lionel. Also, Ethel Bear (Edwin), Lorainne and Gerald, grandparents William and Emma Semple.
