Gerard Joseph Francois Fillion

 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Gerard (Jerry) Fillion on August 21, 2025.

Gerard is predeceased by his parents Jeannot and Ida Fillion, his only son Jesse Jamez Anderson, and long time best friend Dino Ludwick.

He is survived by his sister Marie-Anne Swain (Ivan), his brother Jean-Claude Fillion (Kathy), his beloved daughters Kayla (Eri), Brittany (Mariah), and Rhythm. His step children Josh (Teagan), Kristin (Tj), and his grandchildren Shanease, Jeadon, Treyson, Ariyah, Emma, and Waylon Jr. His only great-grandchild Jesse Couture. As well as many of his extended relatives and friends.

Don’t think of him as gone away
His journey’s just begun,
Life holds so many facets
This earth is only one.

Just think of him as resting
From the sorrows and the tears
In a place of warmth and comfort
Where there are no days and years.

Think how he must be wishing
That we could know today
How nothing but our sadness
Can really pass away.

And think of him as living
In the hearts of those he touched
For nothing loved is ever lost
And he was loved so much

A celebration of Gerard's life will be held on Saturday September 6 at 1:30pm at Eternal Grace Funeral at 1111 Logan Ave, in Winnipeg, MB.
