Gerald Garth Stevenson

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Gerald on July 20, 2024.

Gerald leaves to mourn his dad Sonny, brother Rookie (Wendy), sister Tiara (Bruce), nieces Kaitlyn (Aidan) Shay Shay (Jared), nephews Baby Rookie & Colton.  Great nephews Avery, Aubrey, Abel, Great nieces Ivy & Jaida. Best friends Darcy (Angel) Cary (Deidre) His second family The Pelletiers, Gladys, Shelly, Leah (Danny), Lloyd (Laura) & Quint. Aunts, Dorothy (Morley) Val & Monica, Jeanie (Delbert) & Sharon Kirkness, Uncles John, Terry & Joe

Gearld is predeceased by his mom Viola Stevenson, niece Kirsten Stevenson, Grandma Agnes Shannacappo, Marita Sinclair & Eva Stevenson and his papa Arnold Stevenson and grandpa Linoel Shannacappo. Aunts Christine, Jenny & Marg.

Garth was born April 26, 1974, to Sonny & Viola Stevenson in Wpg, MB. Big Brother to Rookie & Tiara. He Attended Willliam Whyte School, King Edward, Strathcona, Cecil Rhodes and Tec Voc, where he met his lifelong friends Cary & Darcy and where he found his second family the Pelletiers.

Gerald lived a difficult life with health issues since he was born, but he never let that get in the way of living life.

He worked at Kitchen Kraft for many years and then went back to school to take welding. He was then hired by TJ as a support worker and loved his work there. He loved to coach and anytime he could put teams together for his nephews Baby Rookie & Colton.

We would like to thank the nurses at Seven Oak dialysis unit for taking care of Gerald and putting up Gerald sometimes difficult behavior over the past 6 years. He felt like they were like family to him.

Gerald will be missed by everyone that knew and loved him.

The celebration of life will take place on Thursday August 8 from 1p.m. to 6p.m. at Eternal Grace Funerals 10-1111 Logan Avenue, Winnipeg. Cremation has taken place.
