Frank Harold Bates

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that after a lengthy illness, we announce the passing of Francis Harold Bates (Frank) on January 31,2026.

Frank will be greatly missed by his loving and caring wife of 43 years Adrienne, his daughters Kathie Bates, Blou Bates, Janeen Bates (Cory), Tracey Pottinger, his son Josh Chappin (Barbara) who due to circumstances he never got to meet or have a relationship with. Along with numerous grandkids and great grandkids who lovely their papa dearly.

He was predeceased by his parents Frances and Dorothy Bates (nee holt)., mother-in-law Florence, 3 grandsons, as well as many other family and friends.

Frank was a family man and a hard worker. He worked many jobs, but his main career was being a welder and foreman at a bus manufacturing company. He spent his time with family on trips and camping and spending many hours in his garage working on things including his 54’ Ford car.

Funeral service will be held on Monday February 9,2026 at 11 a.m. at Eternal Grace Funerals, 1111 Logan Avenue. Pastor Paul Winter officiating. Interment Brookside Cemeterh.
