On Thursday April 30th, 2026, Edwin Reginald Hudson passed away at the HSC surrounded by his family.
He is survived by his partner of 14 years Betsy Paul; children Leon Hudson, Lisa Buffalo (Keith); numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother Marc (Virginia), Hubert (Sherrie), and Brent (Amber); sisters Nora Valiquette, Winnifred Mitchell, Gloria Sinclair, Mike, Jean McLean, Raymond, and Debby Hudson (Irvin); and their respective families; the mother of his children Margaret (James); aunties Illa Spatt, and Mary Franklin; and numerous cousins and friends.
Eddy was predeceased by his parents Alex and Doris Hudson; brothers Henry and Alex Hudson; In-laws Philip & Mabel Franklin, Ronnie Fontaine, Jerry & Susan Franklin, Karen Bittern, and Pauldena Franklin; grandparents Edward & Winnie Ross, Barney & Rita Ross, and Charlie (Joe) Ross.
Wake service will be held on Tuesday May 5, 2026, from 7pm – 10pm at the Deliverance Centre (1831 Selkirk Ave. Winnipeg MB), with Pastor Raymond McLean officiating.
Wake service to continue on Wednesday May 6, 2026, and Thursday May 7, 2026, at the Pentecostal Church in Poplar River, MB.
Funeral service to follow on Friday May 8, 2026, at 11am, also at the Pentecostal Church.
Officiating will be Rev. Tommy and Inez Stronquill.
Interment to follow.
Pallbearers: Irwin Cromarty, George Franklin, Leon Hudson, Hubert Hudson Sr., Clayton Batenchuk, and Darrell Bruce.
Honorary Pallbearers: Leon Jr., Vincent, Joe, Brian, Delaney, and Brent.
