We are saddened to announce the passing of our father Dwayne on February 3,2024 surrounded by family at home on the Bloodvein First Nation.
Dwayne was loved by many and served his community as a councillor, winter road supervisor and commercial fisherman. He loved hunting with his friends and fishing with his wife. He also spent his weekends in Riverton where he had many friends and visiting his grandchildren.
Dwayne was predeceased by his parents Fredrick and Emily Bushie, sisters Beverly Spence, Marcella Mitchell, Georgina Bushie, Oriole Spence, brother George Bushie and son Dwayne Jr.
He leaves to mourn his wife Beatrice, children Oriole (Darren), George, Melanie (Jeff), Hilda (Dalton), brother Bradley (Verle), Pearl (Alfred), Noell; grandchildren Darren Jr., Simon, Ava, Samuel, Brooklyn, Drew, Dern, Drent, Hallie, Holly, Hannah, Draven, Deidre, Daleh, Dalton Jr., Dedrich, Halo, Haislee and many friends and family.
Wake service will be held on Tuesday February 6,2024 from 7 p.m till 10:30 p.m at the Deliverance Centre 1831 Selkirk Avenue, Winnipeg. Wake service will continue Wednesday February 7,2024 at the Bloodvein First Nation Band Hall. Service will follow on Thursday February 8,2024 also at the band hall at 1 p.m also at the band hall. Pastor Roy M. officiating. Interment to follow.
