Obituary
With true sadness and broken heart I announce the passing of my son Dirck David Fakes (Fibbs) on April 18, 2023 at age 29 years old. Dirck was a wonderful son to love. He enjoyed music and making music. He loved sports especially hockey with his great teacher coach George Waters. Loved his pipe band and the Bowman family. Dirck had a big heart, he was so talented, had a great sense of humor and made everyone laugh.
He tried many times to shake his demons, but sadly they won. Dirck leaves behind his mom Debbie Fakes, his Auntie K (Kerry), Uncle Johnnie, his cousins and their children, and some very special second cousins.
There will be a private service at Brookside Cemetery where he will be laid to rest with his, nanny, bumpa, and father Dwight Fakes.
Donations can be made to Bruce Oakes Recovery Center.
