It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved daughter, sister, aunt,
cousin and friend.Denise Bittern, aka (Denica) on September 2, 2023, she left this world to be
with the creator. Denise was born on December 17, 1981. Denice leaves behind her beloved
children Malachi, Samayha and Serenity. Mother Eliza Berens, sisters, Deborah
Sinclair( Damien) Carla, and Carlton (Alexandera), her uncles Roy Bittern(Debby), Willard
Bittern (Mavis) Sophia (Ray) and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Denise was
predeceased by her grandparents Norway and Clementine Bittern, her uncles, Norman, Gordon,
Aunties, Joanne Morris, Rita and Sharleen Bittern.
Denise grew up in Poplar River most of her life, she enjoyed her home and her space. She also
enjoyed singing karaoke, dancing and jigging.
Denise was outgoing, friendly and confident. She enjoyed visiting with her cousins, especially
her special sister cousin, little Sophia Bittern and Whitney. She also enjoyed spending time with
her brother Dean and his family. She loved all her nieces and nephews so dearly.
Denise enjoyed working at the Elders Lodge, nursing station, and wherever she was asked to fill
in. She enjoyed baking and we will miss her bannock and her cooking. Denise had a great sense
of humor, she loved to laugh and tell stories of her moments, of doing silly things and just
laughing about it in her loud auntie laugh. Her laughter resonate with us. She will be greatly
