Cory Charles Sutherland

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Cory Charles Sutherland, a cherished partner, father, son, brother, uncle and dear friend.

Cory left this world on August 12, 2025, with his family by his side. Born on January 26, 1983, in Swan River, MB, Cory was a beacon of light, known for his humour and infectious laughter, and the love he so freely gave to everyone around him.

Cory's legacy lives on through his loving partner, Stephanie and his six treasured children: Elijah, Farrah, Mya, Israel, Honey Soraya, and Atreus. To them, he was not just a father but a guiding star, a source of strength, and a wellspring of unconditional love. Every moment spent with his children was a testament to his dedication as a father, instilling in them the values of kindness, resilience, and joy.

He is survived by his devoted mother, Lorraine, and his brothers Chris, Shayne, Lance, and little brother Josh, as well as his sister Chantelle, his stepdaughter Cataleya, and numerous nieces and nephews. The bonds of family were everything to Cory, and his spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him.

Cory was predeceased by his stepfather, Morris, cousin Robert, aunties Lucy, and Gloria, and his grandparents Virginia and Charlie Sutherland, who welcomed him into their arms with love and warmth.

Cory’s life was a rich tapestry woven with love, laughter, and resilience. He will leave a lasting impact on all who met him, always placing the needs of others ahead of his own.

As we mourn his loss, we also celebrate the beautiful memories he created—the shared laughter, the conversations, and how he was always full of smiles.

His spirit of kindness and his joy for life will continue to inspire us.

Rest in peace, Cory. Your love and laughter will echo in our hearts forever, and you will be deeply missed beyond measure.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday August 26th, 2025, at 11am, at Eternal Grace Funerals 1111 Logan Ave.
