On Tuesday, November 4, 2025, quickly and peacefully, after a lengthy illness Pastor Rev. Comber McDougall went into eternity to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 8:28 p.m.. He was born on August 30, 1949 to Jonah and Agnes McDougall in Sandy Lake, Ontario. Comber is survived by his loving wife Margaret of 50 years, his children Myrtle McDougall (Jeff), Christopher McDougall (Camille) and Candace Champagne, his grandchildren Julia (Dreyton), Ricci, Chris Jr. (Jordynn), Aiden (Hunter), Landon, Liam, Dayton, Jason and Jackson and three great-grandchildren Lorraine, Evangeline and Clarence. He is survived by his brothers Roger, Darren (nephew), Terrance and his sister Leona; also by his sisters-in-law Lorraine (John), Olga, Delores (Keith), Barbara, special sister-in-law Gladys (John) and brothers-in-law Joey (Frances), Ivan (Jennifer), Dennis and special brothers-in-law Halum Kakepetum and Jeffrey Grieves.
He was predeceased by his father Jonah, mother Agnes, step-mother Annie, sisters Maryjane, Marion, Georgina, Dora, Sandra, infant sister Nancy and brothers Jack, Eddie, Wally, niece Amanda, special brothers-in-law Morris Cameron, Horace Okemow and Jerry Hart.
Thanks are extended to the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority for their home-care services provided to Comber, assisting in his care prior to admission into Calvary Place Personal Care Home on May 12, 2023. The family extends their sincerest thanks and appreciation for the kindness and attention shown to him during his residency there.
Wake services are 6 p.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2025 and Thursday, November 13 both at Chief Cornerstone Church. Lunch to follow. Celebration of Life 11 a.m. Friday, November 14, 2025. Officiated by Rev. Robert McLean. Interment 2 p.m. at Brookside Cemetery. Dinner to follow at Chief Cornerstone Church. Thank you to Pastor Derrick Anderson, his wife Myrtle and congregation for hosting all of these services in their beautiful church.
