Clifford (Mikisiinini-Eagle Man) Keeper Jr.

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our beloved brother Clifford Keeper JR ( Mikisiinini-Eagle Man) on Friday, March 28th, 2025, at the age of 43 years old. 

Clifford also known as "Cliffy" was a beloved father to five beautiful children named Charlise,Carter,Cieran,Cassandra and Catelyn,which he had with the Late Melinda Lynxleg, whom Clifford missed very dearly.He would always talk about his children and would tell everyone that he loved them all tremendously till his passing. He leaves behind his siblings Clifton, Clayton,Clinton,Chief,Charmaine and Clementine, Darlene, Sylvester. 

He is most remembered by his contagious laughter and story telling of his past with his brothers,sisters,cousins and close friends. 

Clifford was raised in Winnipeg with his younger brother Silas also known as "Chiefy". They both shared a bond of brotherhood which was quite profound which was sort of as...anyone knew them a "Love/Hate brotherly love relationship". Growing up he especially enjoyed hockey,lacrosse,tai chi, and ran in competitive running marathons which him and Chiefy were very excellent in. He will always be remembered his younger siblings biggest protector and as he got older, he was his older brothers protectors also.

Within his time Clifford had enrolled in his pilots license training and once flew a plane to Little Grand Rapids.

He had also pursued summer employment within the RCMP in his earlier years which he enjoyed alot. He was so proud of himself wearing that RCMP uniform and driving around on his quad which was provided to him by the local RCMP in Little Grand Rapids. Clifford was very ambitious and was a very good role model in his community at that time. He held a lot of knowledge of our famililes history which he cherished the most. His identity and where he came from was very important to him and he was proud of it. 

Clifford Keeper JR (Mikisiwinini-Eagle Man) is predeceased by his father The Late Clifford Keeper SR, his Late mother Sarah Jane Keeper (Leveque), the mother of his beautiful children Melinda Lynxleg, Brother Henry Owen (Weezoo) paternal grandfather John James Keeper, grandmother Theresa Keeper (Benson), maternal grandparents Joseph Leveque, and Mary Jane Keeper (Waabiikwe). 

Wake service will be held Friday April 11, 2025, 7 p.m.- 11 p.m. at Eternal Grace Funerals.

Service will begin on Saturday April 12,2025 at Little Grand Rapids First Nation. Interment to follow.
